At the end of your day you can retire to your cosy en suite bedroom , many with original oak beams and pleasant soft furnishings. Views of the Old Man of Coniston and the Crake Valley can be seen from some of the bedrooms.
The Farmers Arms is a good base for exploring the Lake District National Park and also provides a relaxing setting after a long day's work for business travellers visiting Barrow-in Furness, Ulverston and the surrounding area.
The Farmers Arms has been awarded a 4-star rating for food safety performance by the Cumbria Food Liaison Group, which is an environmental health group.
Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 09:30 (Monday to Friday) and from 08:30 to 09:30 (Saturday and Sunday) mornings.

This traditional restaurant with oak beams leaded windows is a most delightful place to dine. It offers a tranquil setting where guest can sample the finest cuisine. However, you may wish to dine in the Farmhouse pantry in the oldest part of the Farmers Arms with open log fire and relaxing atmosphere.
By Car
- Leave the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 Barrow Road. - Follow this road for approximately 20 miles, then turn right onto the A5092 Workington Road at the village of Greenodd.
- Stay on that road for approximately 2 miles. At the junction of the 2nd turn-off for Sparkbridge, the Farmers Arms is on the right-hand side.
